The Manual Handling in Transport, Warehousing and Logistics course provides candidates with the necessary skills required to assess the risks associated with manual handling, precautions to be taken and considered to minimise these risks. This course will identify risks associated with Manual Handling tasks, helping to prevent injuries in the workplace. Candidates will complete a theory test, a pre-lift assessment and a safe lift. On completion of the course candidates will receive a Certificate of Basic Training AIMS AND OBJECTIVES Aims To provide candidates with the necessary skills and techniques to carry out their duties in the workplace, in a safe and effective manner whilst complying with current legislation. Objectives of the course: By the end of the course, candidates will be able to understand relevant Legislation with regards to their own Safety and that of others, identify hazards and assess the risks relating to the movement of goods within the workplace and put into place a Safe Operation Procedure to reduce the potential for injury to themselves or others.
